Data the add-on accesses

The add-on can access text and structure in the current presentation only. It requests the presentations.currentonly scope rather than access to all presentations in Google Drive. It also requests permission to display its sidebar in the presentation editor.

When a user explicitly enables live-link checking, the add-on reads URLs already present in the current presentation and requests those URLs through Google Apps Script's URL Fetch service to obtain HTTP response codes.

How data is used

Presentation content is processed only to generate the slide-by-slide preflight result requested by the user. URLs are used only for the optional link-status check. The add-on does not use presentation content for advertising, profiling, or training machine-learning models.

Storage and retention

The current version does not send or store presentation text in an external database. Scan results exist only in the active sidebar session. The add-on does not create copies of presentations or retain report content after the Apps Script execution and sidebar session end.

Google may retain service and execution metadata under its own policies as part of Google Workspace, Apps Script, and Cloud infrastructure.

Sharing and sale of data

The developer does not sell user data. Presentation content is not shared with advertisers or data brokers. The add-on runs on Google Apps Script infrastructure. When live-link checking is enabled, the operators of requested websites receive a normal HTTP request from Google infrastructure; report text other than the URL is not sent to those websites.

Security

The add-on uses Google authorization and narrow OAuth scopes. No separate Report Preflight password is required. Users should avoid enabling live-link checking for private URLs that should not receive an external request.

User control and deletion

Users control when a scan runs and whether live-link checking is enabled. Because the current version stores no presentation content externally, there is no retained report-content record to delete. A user can remove the add-on and revoke its Google Account access at any time.
